                                                                                                         ARTICLE I

                                              STANDARDS

Kuya Ryan’s Classroom (KRC), legally known as Ryan’s Online Tutorial Services, is an online tutorial association of teachers from different backgrounds who have gained a solid foundation of online teaching experience and who are basically classified as Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Teachers of English to Young Learners (TEYL) and have undergone a rigorous battery of courses and tests to be categorized as such.

All teachers in this institution are qualified to teach English as accredited by Trinity College London, but have branched out to different subjects equivalent to each teacher’s skill sets and aligned to educational needs applicable to Filipino learners such as English Reading and Comprehension, Mathematics and Filipino Language.

                                                ARTICLE II

                                              CATEGORIES

KRC provides Free Classes, Free Trial Classes and Paid Classes in its scope and allows for trial testing for students who are interested in long-term enrollment.

    A. Free Classes.

         Free Classes are offered to the general public at no cost and with no strings attached. Announcements for Free Classes are normally

         posted in (Facebook Page) a day in advance or on Monday mornings to inform members of the group of upcoming classes that can be           attended on a certain day. These posts include:

         1. The Teacher handling the class;

         2. Class Time and Day;

         3. Topic to be discussed; and

         4. Teacher’s Zoom Meeting Room

      In emergency situations such as loss of internet connections, electricity, sudden illness, and other like situations, teachers may

      reschedule or cancel a Free Class, but prior notice is given to inform prospective attendees

    B. Free Trial Classes

       Free Trial Classes are offered to certain individuals who intend to enroll their students in Paid Classes. A registration form must be filled

       out to allow the system a collection of data about future clients. Registration of Free Trial Classes are not posted on any Facebook

       Groups but can be availed by direct message to (Facebook Page) of the individual’s intention to experience a trial class before actually

       enrolling for Paid Classes. The registration form will inform the registrant of:

        1. The Teacher handling the class;

        2. Class Time and Day;

        3. Topic to be discussed; and

        4. Teacher’s Zoom Meeting Room

       Free Trial classes are not subject to postponement, but in case of emergencies, a substitute teacher will take the place of the original

       teacher to avoid rescheduling and informing the intended group of another day and time which may cause confusion.

    C. Paid Classes.

       1. Paid Classes are classes that fall under the Piso-Per-Minute scheme of KRC. This means that parents and guardians pay P1 per

        minute of class held which lasts for 50 minutes (up to 1 hour depending on the Teacher’s discretion), held three (3) times a week for

        10 classes.

       2. Paid Classes also come in the form of smaller classes that have 1 to 5 students in its entirety, called the Study Buddy system, and are

           available in 25 or 50 minute classes. Since these classes can cater specifically to students’ individual needs, they rank higher up as

           compared to Group Classes (See Article III for the list of prices.)\

         Complete upfront payments must be made through different payment methods to avail of this service and includes Kinder, English,

        Art Filipino, Art and Math. Please note that different subjects and class duration vary in price.

   KRC is committed to protecting our clients’ privacy. Data collection namely:

  1. Complete Name of Parent

  2. Complete Name of Student

  3. Age of Student

  5. Facebook URL

   Authorized employees within the company may ask such information only on a need-to-know basis and are constantly reviewed to ensure the best possible service to our customers for an immediate relay of pertinent information.

Homework videos generally asked by teachers are for the purpose of gauging the student’s understanding of the material taught. Once submitted, these videos may or may not be used by the teacher or KRC as an advertising tool to gain traction with other parents and is hereby understood that permission has been given by the parent/s to do such. However, if such assignments are deemed a jeopardy to one’s privacy, then the parent can communicate with the teacher for another homework substitute which is to be agreed upon by both parties.

                                                ARTICLE V

                     CLASSROOM DECORUM AND ATTITUDE

            As is the norm in a classroom setting, students are expected to do any assigned tasks, activities, seatwork and homework that is given by the teacher. Furthermore, students must portray an attitude of respect towards the authority and must use proper language when talking with the teacher and with fellow classmates.

            Depending on an agreement with the teacher and the parent, appropriate punishment will be meted out to students who are deemed to have a deplorable and rebellious attitude. Verbal abuse and rebellious body language and facial expressions will not be tolerated.

            Parents are expected to raise their children in an exemplary conduct. Teachers are here only for support and to relay additional information.

            Makeup classes will only be given as per the discretion of the teacher. However, teachers are required to have a makeup class if the teacher is absent for some reason such as illnesses or emergencies, e.g power outage, loss of internet connection, so as not to undermine the clients’ trust on KRC teachers’ trustworthiness and reliability.

            Refunds will only be given after thorough investigation of KRC management, otherwise, refunds WILL NOT be given for excuses without a probable cause and a solid and valid reason.

                                               ARTICLE VII

                                             COMPLAINTS

            As diverse beings, we are all capable of having differences in opinions and methods of study. Here at KRC, we respect all opinions and treat each person as an individual with his or her own values. Notably, it is impossible for all teachers to get along with all parents 100% of the time, although, we always strive and aim for that.

            That being said, if an issue arises between teacher and student or teacher and parent, it is highly advised that both parties go direct to each other and communicate with each other in a civil manner for all things can be resolved properly and fairly if the lines of communication are open. KRC teachers are always open for improvement, suggestions and constructive criticism. If there are any issues, do not hesitate to contact them directly since they are the ones concerned. Direct messaging to the KRC Official Page is only advised if resolution of issues has been tried and has failed.

            Always keep in mind that parents see things that teachers do not and conversely, teachers see things that parents do not. An understanding mind and an open heart is the key to harmony.

                                              ARTICLE VIII

                               ASSESSMENT FEE FOR MATH

            Parents who wish to enroll their students in Math, must first have their enrollees undergo an assessment test to gauge their level in Math. Some concepts that are dedicated to certain grades must be passed before being able to enroll in the succeeding Grade so as not to cause a lag for other students who have been able to pass certain concepts.

This assessment test is equivalent to 1 class and has a duration of 50 minutes. It will be only taken once by new students and will cost P50. After the assessment, parents will be advised to place their student/s at a certain grade level. Payment for the succeeding 10 classes to be enrolled must be settled first before commencing study.

Please note that if a child is not capable of the grade equivalent to their age, it only means that the system has been able to detect their deficiency and will be able to focus on what is lacking at the earliest time possible, thus, making them ready for their school classes.

                                              ARTICLE IX

                                     READING IS A MUST

                AT KRC, we encourage good reading habits and broadening of comprehension skills. Posts for Free Classes, Free Trial Classes and start of Paid Classes will be posted in detail every now and then on KRC’s Facebook Pages. We encourage readers to read thoroughly and take note of all details before commenting. The same concept goes for posts on Group Chats. Also, please be aware that Zoom links and passwords for Paid Classes do NOT change so as to avoid confusion. If for any reason some information may change, the teacher in charge will notify all parents of any changes whatsoever, so please be updated on group chats.

                                              ARTICLE X

                                             CONTRACT

            As a member of KRC, the User (Parents and Students), promise to adhere to the tenets listed above and is understood to have read these guidelines and agreed to it. For further questions, do not hesitate to contact the KRC Official Page.
